Acerca del evento

The Resident Artist of the Centro Cultural Mosaico Guatemala will present his second exhibition entitled “Las Mujeres del Pintor”. In this retrospective-anecdotal exercise, the teacher Angel Arévalo pays a chromatic ode to the women who influenced his life, character and art.

The exhibition will be available from November 26, 2021 to January 13, 2022, in the facilities of the Galería Mosaico Guatemala (Carlos Valenti Room of the Centro Cultural Mosaico Guatemala, 10 calle 4-19 zona 1). It is an exhibition open to all public and free entry. The hours of operation are from Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

" The painter's women" is a tribute to the women who gave different colors and tonalities to the momentous events of my life. From my mother and my wife, to the women who, despite social, cultural and religious adversities, surpassed themselves and contributed to science, art, sports, etc. This simple visual display is a greeting to the woman who inspires, who gives life and who breaks paradigms ”. - Angel Arevalo.

The exhibition is made up of 23 works in which we can see some well-known names and faces, such as: Alaide Foppa, Frida Kahlo and Virginia Woolf.  More than showing the muses of Maestro Arévalo, this exhibition hopes to spread admiration to the women who transform the world.
